Kacie Starr received her Bachelor of Fine Arts from Sam Houston State University in 2004, where she graduated summa cum laude and with highest honors. As an undergraduate, Kacie worked as a judicial assistant in the Twelfth District Court of Texas, where she gained valuable insight into the Texas Court System. While in law school, Kacie continued to expand her knowledge of the legal system by clerking at a real estate firm, an insurance defense firm, and interning at Houston's First Court of Appeals.
In 2007, Kacie received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from South Texas College of Law and obtained admission into the Texas State Bar. While attending one of the nation's premier litigation schools, she distinguished herself as one of the top trial and appellate advocates in the country, receiving local, state, and national honors for oral and written advocacy. Upon commencement, Kacie received the Dean's Outstanding Student Advocate Award for outstanding contributions to the law school advocacy program.
Before joining Morris Law Firm, Kacie was with Christian, Smith, and Jewell focusing on business litigation, mass tort litigation, and employment law. Kacie's other practice areas of interest include constitutional law, products liability, personal injury, and appellate advocacy.

Interests and Hobbies Outside of the office, Kacie participates in community outreach programs educating children in the performing arts. She spends her free time playing piano and guitar or reading a good book. Weather permitting, she also enjoys fishing, sailing, and scuba diving.
